HIGHLY COMPETITIVE GAMES FOR SELECT MEMBERS
1. HOW LONG IS EACH SELECT GAME?
Select games are 48 min (NBA length) games - two 24 min running clock halves. A two minute halftime and each team gets one timeout per half and the clock stops with under 1 minute in the second half.
2. WILL THERE BE REFEREES?
There will be a HoopsLink staff member at each game who will keep score, statistics and resolve any disagreements, but players will generally make their own calls during the game.
3. WHICH MEMBERS CAN PARTICIPATE IN Select GAMES?
Select Games are for players who have been designated by HoopsLink Staff as Select Members based on playing experience.
4. WILL THERE BE A LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS IN EACH GAME?
Yes, teams will be limited to 7 players in order to ensure maximum playing time for all players.
5. HOW ARE TEAMS SELECTED?
To ensure that all games are competitive, players will be split up into teams by the HoopsLink Staff Member at the session based on playing ability and position.
6. WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE AREN’T ENOUGH PEOPLE AT A SESSION TO PLAY A GAME?
If there aren’t enough players for a game, we won’t cancel the session. Members will be able to use the gym to play 2 on 2, 3 on 3 or to just shoot around.
